Leopard Print
Expect to see loads of leopard while on a style safari this year. It was all over the catwalks, from Dolce & Gabbana to Mulberry to Dries Van Noten. Even Gitman Vintage [http://www.gitman.com/], the re-booted American shirt label is on the leopard spotted trend. I adore this shirt, from their Spring 2011 “Jungle” collection.
A must-have-now. Leopard has always been a favorite of punk rockers and Palm Beach WASPs, but now the chicsters will be spotted in the print everywhere. And for the true wild style child: leopard hair. Divine!

P.D.s Fashion Top Five
P.D.’s Fashion’s Top Five
1. Artist Terence Koh (who loves to wear all-white) is returning from Beijing this Monday where he adopted a three month old baby boy he is calling Bei Bei.
2. Fashion-go-round. Sarah Burton is the new Creative Director at Alexander McQueen. Christophe Lemaire of Lacoste is replacing Jean Paul Gaultier at Hermes and Olivier Theyskens is designing a capsule collection for Theory.
3. The must-buy tie for summer. Mister Mort blogger and street style photographer Mordechai Rubinstein’s “F U” club tie print for Jack Spade (you can barely see that the letters say “FUCK YOU,” but when you do, you get the message).
4. The Lion is the new stylista clubhouse. Once a gay bar in the 1960s where Bette Midler and Barbra Streistand performed, The Lion is now a chic restaurant run by chef John DeLucie, formerly of the Waverly Inn. Score table 52 (under the Basquiat) and you’ll see every fashion freak from Richie Rich to Rachel Roy and celebs like Demi and Ashton. Order the “cheesecake in a jar” for desert.
5. The movie everyone wants to see? “Bill Cunningham New York,” the 88-minute documentary about street/party style photographer Bill Cunningham, directed by Richard Press and produced by Press’ husband Philip Gefter.
