COLLECTION AMPHIBIA
SPRING/SUMMER 2014
Amphibious women, with gills, of scaly, cartilaginous or gelatinous skin. With structured bodies and armed as sea urchin, seaweeds and jellyfish transparencies, texture of gills and fins. Garments that grow and are reproduced biologically as the marine stars.
Every day we consume a great quantity of toxic substances and harmful agents for our organism; olanin, amanitoxin, arsenic, mercury, phosphates, parabens … The majority of these substances do not produce immediate effects, but they get in the organism and they are poisoning us little by little. Every time there are more allergies, intolerances to the food, chronic diseases, cancer … If we continue with this way, the human being will have to mutate to adapt to the environment and to survive, as that first fish that went out of the sea is doing since then. This project considers a return to the water, an evolution / mutation towards the amphibians and the "men with gills" of the science fiction.
The woman with gills, prodigy of the nature or freak born from the pollution, goes out of the water to show the superiority and beauty of her species.
