CULTURE PLACE
23/08/2011
An alternative to the catwalk offering fashion live on a new space for collections attached to the culture and art of a craft industry too. The designers in charge for implementing this initiative are: Alejandro Resta, Manuel de Gotor and Collective BlackSpace VFW.
On Thursday 8th, Resta presents LAZOS, a bet on shantung and seawater chiffon as predominant materials and colors in his spring-summer collection 2012. A male figure, inspired by the smoking that goes into the review and it does through a construction patterns, that have been previously deconstructed, and then he transfers them to the female figures. Superposition and mix of fabrics provides the collection with a retro-romantic character and a sense of architectural structure where nothing has been left by chance, although not seems so.
On Friday 9th, Manuel Gotor presents ENLAZADOS CON LA VIDA. This is a hope and solidarity song with people affected by the Aid´s disease and the benefits and contributions from sponsors will go to the Spanish association against AID, Apoyo Positivo.
A mixed collection of men & women underwear and lingerie, with big and comfortable forms and a common link, the red ribbon on all garments, all of them made of a unique and technologic fabric, with a pierced similar to scales in which it could be seen the evolution and adaptation to the body man and women forma in a suggestive way. The main color will be "coffee with milk", that mixed with red produces a special optical effect.
Closing the Culture Place on Saturday 10th, we present a selection of the new BlackSpace VFW collective for locating fashion and author design in one of the most important national showrooms. This will promote trading with the audience and the professional relationships among participants.
It will take place in a stage like a performance of various authors where Arturo Laso, as creative director of VFWBS, will direct a fashion and art show made by elements chosen from the collections of participating designers.
